I love the open-source community of IFIXIT. Many tips can be found on Youtube but it comes with many disadvantages.

You spoil your time with commercial advertising interruptions

You spoil your time watching videos of very low quality regarding camera and/or content

You support and give copyrights to multi billion companies like Google

Sometimes next to your work, Youtube lures people to click on bullshit videos of political players.

So let us expand IFIXIT (which is still a little bit focused on cellphones and electronics) to all things of everyday life which may need repair. Let us do it in an open (source) community (like Wikipedia which I love as well), improve the quality by peer review and keep commercial and political things away from the repair instructions.

Beside doing the repairs, I love understanding how the device works and why it does not anymore. That is what the professionals call physics of failure.
