Computer Science Major at University of North Texas
I have always been fascinated by the role of language and collaboration in innovation and progress. That, combined with my love of learning, led me study Arabic and French during my first undergraduate degree. I earned opportunities to study and live abroad in Morocco and Turkey, my stays lasting from two months to one year. Besides gaining a professional level proficiency in Arabic language and culture, I also learned many things that cannot be measured. I gained a global perspective, an appreciation for world views and experiences different from my own and learned the nuances of working in and with a different cultural paradigm.
My passion for learning has now led me to what I consider to be the most universal language, the one that connects everyone and everything in our modern world: the language of technology. I am currently pursuing a second degree in Computer Science and am continually fascinated by the beautiful complexity of the syntax and grammar that run behind the scenes of our lives as well as the breathtaking speed of its evolution and growth. Upon graduation, I hope to find a place where I can utilize all my language skills and be a part of shaping the future.
When I am not pouring over homework and textbooks, I enjoy drinking coffee, playing video games, caring for my many house plants, reading (particularly Science Fiction), and being outside either hiking or rock climbing.
