I´m mechatronic engineer and saw so many examples for planed obsolescence, that i really abhor this approach. Technical advancement could be so much more efficient, if products would be designed to last, witch is an easy task and cost worthy.
Self repair is essential for a better society and can provide important resources also for social skills. I love ifixit!
