Greetings fellow tinkerers, my name is Owen, and I am an avid repairer of many things. I’ve been up to this for quite some time now - since before I became an iFixit member in 2010 - and let me tell you, knowing how to fix stuff does not disappoint. I’ve been lucky to work on a wide variety of computers, phones, and much, much more, and I couldn’t have done it without all of the helpful guides, contributions, and part selections provided by iFixit. While I haven’t been doing as many repairs lately, I still speak avidly about Right to Repair and the importance of repairability in general, and have even helped with Repair.org efforts to promote Right to Repair.

These days, I continue to maintain my own devices, those of family and friends, and refurbish computers in my free time. Living up to my 2012 aspirations of entering the medical field (https://www.ifixit.com/News/2562/compute...), a large chunk of my time these days is occupied with medical school and scientific research. This doesn’t stop me from working repair skills into my studies, as I’ve continued to design and build new prototype equipment and repair intricate and costly scientific devices. I also do a lot of photography in my free time, which includes some devices that I work on and find particularly interesting. Lots of hobbies, so little free time!

I like photography, but I also have fixed a fair amount of camera gear. Great way to save money!

I also work on a lot of bicycles! I volunteer at a bike shop, and pictured here is my Alfine internal hub that I am servicing.

Can't forget my classic Macs!
