I ve been trying really had to fix my Mac problems. I replaced the hard drive on my iMac not an easy job! It worked for a couple months then the power assembly failed when I had to replace that. It proved too much for me too many parts too hard to flex those parts around non flexible areas, then the hard drive told me it could not recover the data on the backup drive or the data on the hard drive! It did not matter what I did to try to recover the data it would not work, I had an instant door jam! Off to the electronic recycling cemetery in the nearby city it went. Since then I have replaced the dead fan on my MacBook Pro a couple years ago. A few months ago my MacBook Pro Unibody mid 2012 just refused to start. I also have an iPad that is so old it will no longer update so it is pretty much useless. My iPhone XR is the only piece of tech that really functions any more & I hate my kids Piece of Crap windblows 11. He can have it all to himself! As for the MacBook, my hands are shaking for too much to repair that tiny little think anymore, I don’t trust my son with it because he is one of those just yank it types, I’ve just gotten too old, I may ask at an independent shop if they will work on an older Mac, but 2,000 is too much for me to fork out anymore.
