    • Remove the SIM card tray from the iPhone.

    • The SIM card will fall out of the tray easily.

    • When reinserting the SIM card, ensure that it is in the proper orientation relative to the tray.

    • A thin rubber gasket around the SIM tray provides water and dust protection. If this gasket is damaged or missing, replace the gasket or the entire SIM tray to protect your iPhone's internal components.

Conclusion

To reassemble your device, follow these instructions in reverse order.

Oh. That’s how you do. I took the display out to reach the sim. Would have been sooooo much easier like this hack using this ingenious tool.

L’Barouf,

This guide isn’t a hack. This guide is the way the removal and insertion of a SIM card, in the iPhone XS Max, was designed to be.

What you did, while being the more delicate and providing you with more knowledge of the inner layout of your iPhone, was actually the hack.
