Introduction
In order to do most repairs on your Toshiba Satellite E45-B4200 laptop, you'll need to access the internals of the device. This guide will show you how to remove the back case of your laptop and easily reach the internal components.
Prior to beginning this repair, power down the device, unplug from the charger and remove the external battery. This device did not have the external battery so we weren't able to demonstrate removal.

Use a Phillips #0 screwdriver to remove fourteen 3.75 mm screws from the back cover.

Use a spudger or opening tool to gently separate the back cover from the top of the device. Work your way around the perimeter of the laptop and undo the clips with the spudger.

Remove the back case.

To reassemble your device, follow these instructions in reverse order.
