Thanks for the great tutorial and all the help, Finally got to the battery YAY.. now if only I could find a way to fix my other one, it's little brother, The BTX300 It's a little different than the 500 to get into Although the battery is extremely easy, but I don't know where to start after that, even with the side kick stand I can't figure out how to get into the darn thing,
I need to fix / replace the yellow plastic part/ CONNECTION on the rear of the speaker for the charging port, unfortunately the yellow plastic piece broke after a fall when it was plugged in, It still worked until it lost the charge, so I can't charge it at all, just leaving the 2 pins sticking up inside the hole there,
If there's any kind of idea how to do this and replace the part or even if I had to a "duck tape & binder twine" solution if I could get it to just charge, they are great Bluetooth speakers
IF ANYONE HAS ANY IDEAS PLEASE PLEASE LET ME KNOW ☺️I Would be so great full,
Kindest Regards

Where can I buy the battery to replace it?

Try with this part#: X-2587-179-1, this is the battery used for other countries except US, because these speakers are not for repair, so I doubt that an authorized Sony service center can fix it, but you can place the other in encompass parts, even they will say that belongs to SRSBTX300 but apparently do match, check the specs, 7.4V 13.7Wh (14WHh) 1850mAh with them, the average cost is $130USD, there is another battery in the market with same specs but believe me, is not going to work due to T terminal vs C terminal of the Sony one. good luck attn: Mr. L.

Andrei, try contacting Sony to determine where you can buy a new battery. They would know for sure and I don't want to tell you the wrong thing.
Luckystyx, wish we could help you out more but we only know how to fix the 500. Sorry about that!
