Introduction

If your viewfinder is cracked and hard to remove, please follow the guide as closely as possible to avoid damaging the camera and yourself.

    • Orient your camera so that you are looking at the posterior portion.

    • Place each of your thumbs on the interior portions of the eyepiece cup, pressing down and pushing up.

    • Slide the eyepiece off by carefully pulling it upward.

    • Be careful not to come into contact with the viewfinder lens as the lens can be easily scratched.

    • Remove the screw from the middle of the diopter with the JIS #00 screwdriver.

    • Remove the diopter with your hands. If the diopter is at all stuck you can use the pointed tweezers to help aid in the removal process.

    • Be careful not to let fingers or tweezers come into contact with the viewfinder lens as the lens can be easily scratched.

    • Remove the 4 screws on the viewfinder plate with a JIS #00 screwdriver.

    • Carefully remove the plastic viewfinder plate from the camera.
