Introduction

This guide is intended to show how to access, remove, and replace the belt on a Shark Rocket Stick Vacuum with Self-Cleaning Brushroll. This replacement may be necessary if the brush roller is turning slowly or not at all.

    Where do you buy a new belt for this model? The manufacturer's website doesn't offer any purchases for a replacement belt, last I checked.

    • Turn the T10 Security Bit screwdriver counterclockwise to remove the 15mm screw.

    • Turn the vacuum face down.

    • Turn the T10 Security Bit screwdriver counterclockwise to remove the 15mm screw.

    • Use a spudger to pry the side of the vacuum open.

    • Use a spudger to pry the old belt away from the two gears.

    • The new belt will be tight and difficult to put back on. In order to reinstall, place the belt on the brushroll, then rotate the brushroll a couple rotations to make sure the belt is aligned correctly.
