Use this guide to ensure your Shark Navigator Lift-Away Upright Vacuum with Self-Cleaning Brushroll (UV725BXBRN) isn't damaged or needs a replacement. Before you start your repair make sure you have a flathead driver or a coin to turn the locks. Also, unplug your vacuum. The new technology implented in these newer models of Shark vacuums make it hard for the consumer to replace the Brushroll like the previous models. The manufactures replace it for you. So, the fix doesn’t work contact Shark so they can further assist you.

Push down on the bottom of the vacuum so it can dangle.

Using a flathead screwdriver to turn the lock counterclockwise, then open the cover to access the brush roll.

The brush roller and placement of it is filthy with dog hair and dirt needs to be scraped out. There must be a way to remove it to clean without having to send it to the manufacturer
