After 10 years of use, the battery does not last long enough. A new battery and some skilled work on the delicate device can give a fully functioning headset again.

Red markings for the position s for breaking fixing points inside the case, which are slightly glued. Nevertheless, the case can be opened without too much damage with a small and sharp screwdriver. The fix at the back of the headset at position 1 is not glued but clipped inside the case, see clip at step 4 and 11.

You will likely damage the case a little bit. Open 2a and 2b with sharp screwdriver.

Open 3a and 3b with sharp screwdriver.

Very carefully open 4 with sharp screwdriver.

Glued and sealed with foam at 4.

Remove the foam.

If the power connector is glued into the case, then de-soldering it is the easiest solution. In one out of two cases it was not glued and de-soldering wasn't necessary.

The battery is glued with a piece of foam. Cut with sharp knife, take care not to puncture the battery!

Exchange the battery with the new replacement.

The replacement battery in the picture worked perfectly for my Plantronics B70.

Cut and prepare replacement battery cables for soldering.

Solder the new battery to plus (red cable) and minus (black cable)

Fix the new battery on foam and in the centre of the position marked by a white line.

Carefully put everything back into position. Re-solder power connector, if it had to be de-soldered before. Fix it back into the round hole.

Close the case with the clip 1. The black and silver case can best be fixed with some transparent tape around the case.

Test loading the new battery as usual.
