Introduction

The Nintendo Switch Lite does not have replaceable joy cons like the regular Nintendo Switch. Meaning that if any button on the console has an issue it has to be repaired. Some of the buttons that are used the most and have the most issues are the L and R buttons. The following guide is to replace a damaged or broken R button in a Nintendo Switch Lite.

    • Remove the four 6.3 mm long screws on the back using a Y1 tri-point screwdriver.

    • Remove the two 3.6 mm long screws on the top using a Phillips #00 screwdriver.

    • Remove the two 3.6 mm long screws on the bottom using a Phillips #00 screwdriver.

    • Open up the device by inserting the opening tool into the speaker grille and twist the opening tool to open the device.

    • Twist the opening tool gently to avoid damaging any parts inside the device.
