Introduction

The battery door of a camera can easily be detached or misplaced when the user forgets to shut it closed. When the battery door is missing, the battery can easily slide out of its compartment. This guide will provide easy steps to replace a Nikon D5100 battery door with inexpensive materials.

Tools

6-in-1 Screwdriver

Step 1

Insert the battery into the battery compartment at the bottom of the camera.

Step 2

Take the mending plate and place it over the threaded hole at the bottom of the camera.
Make sure the mending plate is covering the battery compartment.
Hold the mending plate in position.

Step 3

While holding down the mending plate, take the screw and place it on top of the mending plate and over the threaded hole.
Push the screw into the threaded hole and turn clockwise to screw in.
Tighten the screw by using a screwdriver.
