Introduction
If, like mine, the key head is broken and the key is therefore somewhat impractical to use, these instructions can help you.

In my case, the original cast key head tore and is therefore no longer stable, which made it somewhat impractical to use.
-

-
In the first step we need to remove the old potted key head. This works best with a sharp knife (cutter knife)
-
-
-
Now we take the new key head and insert the key.
-
If it's a bit difficult to get in, you can press down with something flat, like a slotted screwdriver.
-
-
-
If your key, like mine, is not straight but semi-circular, the fastening wedge must be adjusted. See Figures 2 and 3 for this
-
-
-
Now we are at the last step and it is very simple. Because you only have to insert the fastening wedge and the key head renewal is complete

I hope this guide has helped you.

Hello, I just wanted to mention this for anyone who wants a more permanent solution for the key. I always have problems with this key blanks breaking so i ended up finding someone who mills out a Metal key blank for the w123. They started selling them on eBay and are solid. I've had one for about 4 years with no issues. I'll add the link as a comment for anyone who wants one. I apologize for the weird looking link. I had to use a link shortener in order to fit it all in one comment.
