Introduction

Most of these laptops were shipped with a trash wifi card that disconnects constantly. The Realtek 8822BE. That’s probably why you are here. Don’t worry, it’s simple to remove and replace.

    • Remove the 5 long and 6 short Phillips head screws on the back of the computer (I am missing one). They are located around the perimeter of the bottom as well as one in the center of the fan grille. Take off the back cover.

working with a computer on the carpet is a death sentence holy

    • The wifi card is directly above the battery and under the right fan.

  3. Remove the connections to the antenna for the card. On my Realtek 8822BE model they are white and black. Yours may be a different color but the process is identical

Is there a list of compatible WiFi cards? I've read that the Intel AX210/211 may also be compatible, but I haven't been able to get any confirmation.
