Introduction

This guide will show how to remove the speakers for the Lenovo 100s Chromebook-11IBY. This removal will allow you to replace or upgrade the speakers for your laptop.

    • Use a #0 Phillips screwdriver to remove the nine 6mm screws from the larger back plate.

    • Turn your laptop back over, open it, and use the plastic opening tool on the recessed notch to gently pry each side and lift the keyboard plate up.

    • Then lift the keyboard plate up and place it to the side.

    • Then unplug the cable attaching the right speaker by hand.

    • Carefully pry the speaker up and free of the two notches holding it in place.

    • Remove the speaker.
