Introduction

This guide will assist in taking apart and cleaning specific areas of the Dell MO56UC mouse.

Over time, dust can build up inside of the device which could block the sensors and prevent the mouse from working properly. The dust can be removed by using a microfiber cloth or a damp towel.

Before disassembly, ensure power is removed from the device.

    • Unplug the USB cord to disconnect the mouse from the power

    • Use a Phillips 00 Screwdriver to unscrew one screw.

    The screw on this mouse is a #2 phillips.

    • Use a microfiber cloth or a damp towel to remove any debris located inside of the highlighted areas.

    To take off the top part, you will want to lift the cover up just by a centimeter or two, and then slide it towards the back of the mouse while pulling up.

    • Clean the ball with a microfiber cloth.

    • Remove the wheel to expose the sensor.
