Introduction

In this guide you will learn how to fix the clutch on a 2012 corvette (grand sport). This may be necessary when your clutch starts to become “squishy” indicating its in need of fluid replacement. This takes approximately 15-20 mins for someone with moderate experience on cars and would be rated 3 on difficulty scale.

    • Step 10: Now get behind the wheel and pump the clutch. ~ This will pump out the old fluid from the system into the water bottle. While pumping the clutch pour more of the Dot4 fluid into the container. (Maker sure to not let the container go completely empty while doing this step)

    • Step 11: After pumping the clutch about 10-15 times and replacing the brake fluid as necessary, the fluid that comes out of the bleeder should become clean

    • Step 12: Once the fluid appears to be clean, close the bleeder end using the same 12mm and 14mm wrenches used before

    • Step 14: Tuck the bleeder line back behind the container, where it was originally, and close the hood

    • Step 15: The clutch should not be squishy anymore, indicating that you have successfully changed the brake fluid

Conclusion

Once fluid is successfully replaced you can close everything back up securely.
