Introduction

If the device is not charging, follow this guide to cleaning or replacing the charging cable. You will need a spudger and a spare type-c charging cable on hand.

    • Check the USB port/both ends of the charging cable for dust or grime buildup.

    • Clear out any buildup carefully with a plastic tool, never metal.

    • Gently rub the plastic tool of choice along the charging port and remove and dust that may have built up over time.

    • Try the charger again, you should see a red LED indicator if the device is charging.

    • A red light should appear above the charging port when plugged in, if it does not then the charging cable should be replaced.

    • Purchase a replacement type-c charger or use another charger you already own to test again.

    • If this does not resolve the issue then the battery may be dead, or there is some other issue.
