Introduction
If the internal headphone input in your HP Windows Mixed Reality VR1000-100 is unresponsive and/or the jack itself is obstructed and/or damaged, you may need to replace the audio jack entirely. Ensure that the screwdriver is long and narrow. This guide includes steps of greater difficulty. Ensure that you unscrew screws carefully as to ensure they aren’t stripped.

Pry off the plastic plate on the front of the headset.

Remove 14 screws from the front part of the headset using a Phillips #0 screwdriver.

Separate the back side of the headset from the front side.

Remove two screws from the 3.5mm audio input using a Phillips #0 screwdriver.

Carefully remove the wire from the audio input.

To reassemble your device, follow these instructions in reverse order.
