Introduction

    • To remove the engine from the auger, you will need to disassemble the Transmission Assembly, as some of the bolts that attach the Top Cover of the Transmission assembly can only be accessed internally.

    • There are two drain bolts on the transmission, one on the side of the case on the side of the machine with the air filter and throttle assembly, and one on the bottom of the case.

    • Remove the stamped 7/8" bolt on the side of the Transmission Assembly first, and allow to drain while level.

    • Then, remove the unmarked 7/8" drain bolt from the bottom of the Transmission Assembly and allow to drain.

    • Note: Braver technicians can skip removing the bottom drain bolt as long as they ensure that the Transmission Assembly is stored on a level surface, which can be a challenge for an auger, even with the bit removed.

Conclusion

To reassemble your device, follow these instructions in reverse order.
