If you determine that your vacuum brush roll will not turn and produces a burning smell, this guide will help you to replace the brush roll.

    • Step on the grey release button located between the two back wheels to lower the handle flat to the floor.

    • Insure the vacuum is unplugged before starting the process of removing the brush roll.

    • Using a Phillips #2 screwdriver, remove the four screws from each corner of the brush roll cover.

    • Remove the brush cover from the vacuum base, by pulling straight up.

    • Firmly press upwards from below the brush roll on the side opposite the belt.

    • After one end is displaced, remove the other side by pressing firmly upwards from below the the brush roll.

    • Once the brush roll is displaced from the base, detach the belt from the brush roll in order to clean the brush roll.

Brush roll replacement is a no brainer. It is the brush roll assembly that turns the brush that I need to fix. Cannot determine what tool to use as it doesn't come off using a regular screwdriver and eureka won't tell me what to ese.
