place the laptop upside down on a soft, clean surface to avoid scratching

locate the screws (in this case 8)

use the screwdriver

'Note: the screws are designe to stay attached in the back cover even after being unscrewed. This prevents loss.'

use the opening tool to open the back cover starting on the hinge areas. then move slowly around the edges

lift the open areas with your hand (lightly!) and slowly work using the tension along the edges.

use the screwdriver to remove the screws which also stay attached

use your fingers to detach the battery connection cable from the motherboard

you can pick up the battery and take it out of the device

remove the connections cable from the "old" battery and insert to the new one

insert the new battery and screw in

use the spudger to fix the connection cable then press with the flat of the spudger side to push it in

test if the device is working

Note: mostly the batterys are delivered empty so first you need to charge it maybe

its also possible to get the status of the battery: press F2 while starting to open bios settings then check battery status

To reassemble your device, follow these instructions in reverse order.
