Introduction

The power cord is the DeWalt D26451's source of energy. It is made for double insulated tools. It is a two-wire cord with two prongs and does not need a ground wire.

The power cord may become ripped or damaged and need to be replaced. In this repair guide we will be teaching you how to replace the cord. You can purchase a replacement power cord here.

    • Please wear safety glasses while completing this guide.

    • Remove screws (3) from cap by using the T20 torx attachment and unscrewing in a leftward motion.

    • Gently pry the cap off using your fingers or spudger tool.

    • Once cap is off, expose and locate the power cord mounting bracket and remove the 2 screws holding the wire down by using the T15 torx attachment. Once the cord is loose, pull the connectors out

    • Loosen the white and black wire terminals

    • Insert new power cord terminals and tighten down

    • Do not over-tighten
