Introduction

You may need to replace the speakers if you have a one or two faulty speakers. It will require you to take the back of the computer off and replace the speakers internally. There are no hazards accompanied with this task as long as the Chromebook is not charging

    • Remove the 18 Phillips screws using a screwdriver with a PH0 bit.

    • Using a spudger, gently pry open the back from the top.

    The back part by the screen is stuck on even after removing all screws

    • Locate the cable that attaches the speakers to the motherboard. Unhook the cable.

    • Remove both speakers.
