Introduction
If the food processor motor is spinning, the tappet on the universal bowl may also be broken. Unfortunately, the bowl is no longer produced and the tappet is not available as a spare part. One possibility is to get a used bowl. Another option is to create the driver with a 3D printer and replace it. This is shown here.
Tools
-
-
Turn the universal bowl over so that the base is facing upwards.
-
The crack in the driver is clearly visible. The driver is therefore slipping in the bowl.
-
-
-
Carefully lift the driver off the axle using a strong flat-blade screwdriver. Reposition it several times so that it does not jam.
-
-
-
Here you can see the axle and the driver.
-
Create a new driver with the 3D printer. Print out the two press-fit tools at the same time.
-
Lightly grease the axle with food-safe silicone grease and push it in.
-
Pay attention to the washers: first the smaller metal washer at the top, then the slightly larger plastic washer. At the bottom, only the metal washer rests on the driver
-
Fit the new driver.
-
Place the two press-fit tools (or a suitable piece of wood) on the top and bottom and press the driver tight with a screw clamp.
-
Work through the steps in reverse order to reassemble your device.
