In this guide we will disassemble and remove the power supply from an Apple TV 4K

    • Use a spudger to pry the bottom panel off from the body. It is held on with clips on the inside, so you will need to make sure those are undone while opening.

    • The panel is held onto the device tightly, so you may need to be a bit forceful to remove it.

There are three clips on each side - short after the beginning of the rounding on each side, and one middle.
The bottom panel is approx 5mm in height and a little bit flexible.

Does anyone know where I can buy a replacement board?

I have the same question, where can one find the replacement power supply board for the Apple TV 4K?

Please, explain the 12V power supply topic: does that means it can be installed in a car or a boat out of the box?

I had an Apple dealer (independent) tell me that they couldn’t order the power supply. They could only send the unit to Apple for exchange with a refurbished unit (at 2/3rds the cost of a new one). Boooo!

Ach Leute! Wieder eine Sackgasse! Es ist so frustrierend – was nutzt eine Anleitung, wenn man die Power Supply nirgends woher bekommt?

There’s another video on you tube to convert to a 12 volt using separate wires, then you need and adapter to use in house

I bought the new power supply from the above link and it did arrive even faster than they said it would. Unfortunately, I reassembled my Apple TV and it's still not working. No light. No signal. It could be that it was the power connector, logic board and not the power supply all along I suppose. I did of course already rule out the power cord and the hdmi cable. Also I did manage to give myself a small shock on disassembly so maybe I fried something. I'm curious if there's a straight forward way to test which part is bad using a voltage meter. It seems that if I could have done that in the first place it might have saved me a lot of hassle.
