Introduction

Use this guide to replace the left and right mouse buttons on your Anker 2.4G Wireless Mouse.

A mouse button is an electrical switch on the mouse which allows a user to interact with a graphical user interface. They will eventually wear out through continuous use. If you notice the left or right mouse button not working properly all of the time, you may need to replace the left or right mouse button.

Please be sure to check out the troubleshooting page before using this guide. Often times, malfunctioning mouse buttons are a software issue and can be fixed without replacing the left and right mouse buttons.

Step 7 in this guide requires you to desolder the mouse buttons and solder new ones in place.

Make sure that the mouse is turned off before starting.

  4. wWoIIbuDiYUVTldL
    • Pull the wires from the white crimping headers to disconnect them. This separates the top housing from the bottom housing.

    • Pull as far up on the wires as possible. Be careful not to rip the wires by applying too much force.

  5. iaIwKcoWf2FesDQX
    • Remove the scroll wheel from the mother board by pulling it to the left.

    • This may take some force to remove. Make sure to pull the scroll wheel parallel to the board, not perpendicularly.

  6. KcHx3liYx1F5l2tH
    • Pull the mother board gently away from the plastic housing.
