Introduction

If your Anker 2.4G Wireless Mouse is not working properly or at all, a new battery may be needed. This guide will provide assistance on how to replace the battery.

The battery provides power for the mouse. If the battery is close to being dead, the mouse may not work properly. Additionally, if the battery is fully dead, the mouse will not work at all.

In preparation for replacing the Anker 2.4G Wireless Mouse battery, one working AA battery is required.

Note:

When removing the plastic cover in step 1 and the battery in step 2, do not use metal tools for assistance. It is a hazard risk for the metal tools to touch the battery. Instead, use plastic opening tools and spudgers (nylon) for additional assistance.

If the mouse is still not working properly after battery replacement, check to see if the battery was placed in the correct direction so the "+" and "-" symbols line up. If battery direction is not the problem, then visit the troubleshooting page for additional tips.

To reassemble your device, follow these instructions in reverse order.

My Anker vertical wireless mouse uses 2 "AAA" batteries. It is Model TMI56G. Batteries are fresh. Dongle is new. The mouse worked fine with the dongle that was broken prior to the company sending me a replacement. The highest bar on the thumb side on the mouse comes on and glows red briefly when I turn the mouse on. There is no clear button on top of the mouse. I have Windows 10 and when I check my settings I keep getting an "ERROR CODE 10" FOR MY ANKER Mouse. My LOGITECH mouse works just fine when I plug into the same USB port. Could I have been sent the wrong dongle for my ANKER Mouse? Please advise.

Thank You,

Any help would be appreciated. I need to return the LOGTECH mouse I'm now using to it's owner.

Thanks,

Rick
