Introduction
If your Acer Chromebook Spin 11 (Model R751TN-C5P3) is not producing clear audio, is distorted, or even no sound at all through the speakers, use this guide to replace the speakers.
The speakers in the Chromebook serve as a hardware device that is connected to the computer to produce sound. The sound itself is generated by the computer’s sound card. A faulty speaker will either produce distorted sound or even no sound at all.
Before using this guide, make sure that the output for the speakers do not have any debris or particles that could be hindering the generation of quality sound. If this is the case, small devices that blow air or a clean cloth can be used to remove such debris. After this, test the audio a few times to see if the issue has been resolved, and if not move on to the next step.
In order to replace the speakers, you will need to remove the backplate from the device using a screwdriver. The speakers will need to be disconnected and removed in order to insert the new and improved device.
Prior to the start of this replacement, ensure that your device is powered off completely to avoid harming yourself or damaging the device.
