Background and Identification
This stump grinder uses a rotating disk to cut through and grind up tree stumps. They come in a variety of sizes and abilities. This compact stump grinder is intended to be used on small stumps. The operator of this stump grinder should be careful to follow all safety guidelines given to ensure that it is operated safely. This machine is referred to by one of two model numbers: the 22600HD or the 22600. These two numbers are referred to in the operating manual as two different models, but the manual gives no distinguishing features between the two. They share the same safety information, specifications, and operation, and are therefore essentially the same machine.
This stump grinder has several variations with the same model number. However, they have different serial numbers, which indicate the year that they were released. This variation, with SN 316000001-316999999, was released in 2017. iFixit also offers support for the 2018 and 2019 models. The model and serial numbers can be found of the side of the machine, directly above the right wheel (if you look at the machine from the operator’s perspective.)
