Background and Identification
The Taema Osiris ventilator series (1,2, and 3) is an emergency transport ventilator that can be used to ventilate both adults and children. It is an easy-to-use portable ventilator that is known and used by practitioners for over 20 years.
Commonly used by healthcare staff, the 10-hour battery life enables them to stay mobile and treat patients on the go. The light-weighted device serves has a ventilation functionality that offers great resistance to shocks in all medical conditions.
Model Identification Distinctions:

- The first model will show the name OSIRIS slightly below the handle and to the near right of the device.
- Typically has a solid color of blue with minimal white.
Taema Osiris 2
- The second model will show the name OSIRIS with the number two overlapping the name, slightly below the handle and to the near right of the device.
- Typically has the color blue or purple on the device.
Taema Osiris 3
- The third model will show the name OSIRIS with the number three overlapping the name, slightly below the handle and to the right of the device.
- Typically has the color orange on the device.
Technical Specifications
Taema Osiris 1 and 2
- Dimensions: 250 x 210 x 170mm
- Weight of 5kg with carrying bag
- Ventilation modes include: Controlled ventilation (VAC), assisted volume controlled (ACMV), and spontaneous pressure assisted (VS-AI / PS).
- VAC ACMV: FiO2 is adjustable in either pure oxygen or in oxygen/air mixture (60 percent). Tidal volume (VT) is adjustable from 100 to 1500 ml. The adjustable frequency from 6 to 40 c/mn. The I/E ratio is adjustable from 1/1 to 1/3. The integrated Positive Expiratory Pressure (PEP) is adjustable from 0 to 10 cm H2O. In ACMV mode, a preset tidal volume is blown into the patient circuit with each inspiratory effort, using a constant flow rate. In the event of apnea, the device will operate on preset safety settings.
- VS-AI/PS: An inspiratory aid (constant positive pressure), adjustable from 5 to 40 cm of H2O, is obtained with each inspiratory effort. The Positive Expiratory Pressure is generally set between 7 and 10 cm H2O.
- Key functionalities:
- The oxygen supply pressure is 3.5 bar (+/- 0.7) and the consumption specific to the device is approximately 1I/min.
- The internal batteries, essential for supplying the electronic circuit, have a 10-hour autonomy and recharge in 10 to 14 hours.
- Osiris 2 can be connected to the mains.
Taema Osiris 3
- Dimensions: 250 x 210 x 170mm
- Weight of 5kg with carrying bag
- Ventilation modes include: Controlled ventilation (VAC), assisted volume controlled (ACMV), and spontaneous pressure assisted (VS-AI / PS).
