Background and Identification

Swiffer is a cleaning brand created by Proctor & Gamble in 1999. The first version of the Swiffer SweeperVac was introduced in 2004. The Swiffer Sweepervac vacuum sweeper picks up crumbs and other sizable waste while the dry sweeping cloth picks up dust and dirt. The dry sweeping cloth must be replaced after every use. The Swiffer SweeperVac can be recharged using a charger that comes with the product and is only rechargeable when the product is not in use. Unlike actual vacuum cleaners, the Swiffer SweeperVac does not use vacuum bags. All vacuumed waste are trapped in the dirt bin, which is emptied after every use. The Swiffer SweeperVac was discontinued from production in 2013 and was replaced by the Swiffer Sweep and Trap in the Swiffer product line.
