Background Information
Slackware Linux is one of the oldest, stable, Linux distribution created by Patrick Volkerding in 1993. Slackware's creation was based on the Softlanding Linux System, and has gone on to inspire many other Linux Distributions including SUSE Linux, Flax, Salix OS, VectorLinux, and Porteus.
Slackware is still maintained as of February 2022, with the release of version 15.0 and is available on IA-32, x86-64, and ARM based platforms.
