Background and Identification
Produced by Samsung Electronics, the Samsung Galaxy J2 is part of the Samsung Galaxy J series, a line of mid-tier Android mobile devices. The Samsung Galaxy J2 was released in 2016 and known for offering the most value for its price.
The Galaxy J2 runs with Android 5.1.1 “Lollipop” and Samsung’s TouchWiz Interface. Powered by an Exynos 3475 SoC (system on chip), two unique features of the J2 include Smart Glow, a color notification LED System, and Turbo Speed Technology (TST), which helps improve the device’s performance and speed. Additional positive features of the Galaxy J2 include a good screen and battery life, compact dimensions, and an above average front camera. Downsides of the Galaxy J2 include its mediocre design (bulky and uninspiring), dated and slow internals, a lack of the ambient light sensor (basic feature), and only 8 GB of internal storage.
