Background
The Ridgid R4030 is a 7" wet tile saw that is specifically designed for cutting and shaping various types of tiles, including ceramic, porcelain, marble and stone. This saw is powered by a 120V, 12 amp corded electric setup, and includes a 7" diamond grit continuous rim blade constructed from high speed steel. The motor is rated at 9.5 amps, and an internal submersible water pump is used to recirculate water to cool and lubricate the blade during the cutting process. The saw is capable of cutting tiles up to 0.75" thick and diagonally up to 18" x 18". It can also make bevel cuts from 0 to 45 degrees. The table, made from cast aluminum, measures 7.75" x 12.25" and the saw includes an aluminum rip fence with a miter gauge. The total weight of the saw is 50.2 lbs.
The Ridgid R4030 tile saw allows users to make straight, bevel, diagonal, and miter cuts on ceramic and stone tiles. The cast aluminum table provides a flat and solid cutting surface, and the continuous rim diamond blade is capable of making both rip and diagonal cuts up to 18". During operation, the tile is placed on the table and the blade is lowered into the tile. The saw is designed to continuously pump water onto the blade from a removable water tub to cool the blade and mitigate tile dust. The rip fence with miter gauge allows for angled cuts up to 45 degrees.
