Background

The Ridgid Router is a compact routing tool used to cut and trim wood. This model comes with variable speed control and a micro adjust dial to have much better control of the depth of the cut. The R2401 model started in 2014. This router is intended for small projects and around the house work. The collet on this particular router has been known to either fail or not keep the bit tight. This device typically retails for around $130.
