Background and Identification

The Ridgid Multi-Tool head is a hardware tool equipped to perform multiple tasks to help alleviate and create convenience for mechanics and repairers. The previous model before was put out by the company Ridgid but has been discontinued, leading to an eventual obsolete product. Leaving the new standard used head to be the R8223406 model.

The Ridgid Multi-Tool head is shaped like a gun having two entrance points. The smaller entrance is shaped like a drill where accessories fit, while the bottom is much broader, connecting onto a power base. You can find the model number by the side of the tool, displayed in a white box.

The tool specifically targets a variety of people that work with equipment such as gardeners, construction, drilling, screwing, sanding, or cutting. This device is to make a convenient tool to add to any handyman’s toolbox collection. It is an all-purpose multi-tool designed to deal with multiple hardware combined all in one device.

As a standalone product, the Multi-Tool head is capable of cutting and sanding, but when paired with other accessories from its same line of Ridgid Multi-Tools such as the 4 Amp Corded JobMax Multi-Tool or OCTANE™ Brushless 18V JobMax Multi-Tool, it can do a much broader range in variety. Including trimming pipes, screws, floorboards, cutting out openings in drywall, sanding and grinding furniture or woodwork frames.

Not only is it reliable in its uses, but it is also easy to remove to swap out for other parts. It has a universal adapter and is compatible with most multi-tool accessories.
