Background and Identification

The Retina MacBook is a member of Apple’s long line of laptops. Released in early 2016, it provides notable upgrades from the previous 2015 version, including a faster processor, longer battery life, increased RAM, and, of course, new colors for its aluminum casing. This 2016 version boasts 10 hours of battery power (for uses such as web browsing) compared to 9 hours in the previous model. With a primary purpose of portability, extended battery life is a key feature in the 2016 version. As with other Apple laptops, the Retina MacBook 2016 has minimized its ports to just one USB-C port located on the left of the device. This offers maximum simplicity or maximum inconvenience, depending on your point of view and intended uses for this device.

This 2016 model is sleek and rectangular in shape. It measures 11.04 inches in length. This model comes in silver, gold, space gray, and rose gold. In all colors, the Apple logo is imprinted on the back of the laptop’s aluminum casing.
