Background and Identification
The Invacare Perfecto 2 is an oxygen concentrator designed for at-home use by Invacare. Invacare Corporation is an American producer of medical equipment like walkers, respiratory products, and wheelchairs. An oxygen concentrator is a medical or industrial device that concentrates the oxygen from either ambient air or another gas supply. Oxygen concentrators selectively remove nitrogen and other gases from the air to provide an oxygen-enriched stream.
The Invacare Perfecto 2 oxygen concentrator can produce a flow rate between one-half and five liters per minute. The Pediatric Flowmeter Accessory should be used for flow rates less than one liter per minute. It delivers air with oxygen purity between 95.6 and 87 percent at all flow rates. The concentrator is able to detect conditions that may indicate a potential obstruction, resulting in a reduction of output oxygen. The machine will emit a rapid audible beeping alert when the oxygen output is between zero and one-half liters per minute.
The Invacare Perfecto 2 oxygen concentrator can be used with a seven-foot cannula and a maximum of 50 feet of crush-proof tubing. This model is typically contained in white or grey plastic housing. The machines include four caster wheels for maneuverability. A built-in handle is located at the top of the oxygen concentrator.
