Background
In 2003, Pentax introduced it's newest line of compact digital cameras, the Optio S. At the time, the Optio S was the smallest 3.2 megapixel digital camera in the world. By 2004, Pentax introduced several newer variants of the Optio S. One of these variants was the Pentax Optio S4i, released on February 2, 2004.
NOTE: This model has been discontinued.
Identification
To identify and differentiate the device from other Pentax Optio models, look to the top of the camera. The camera is labeled "Optio S4i" to the left of the power button and the shutter release button.
