Background and Identification

The On Site POGS 33C is an oxygen concentrator made by On Site. POGS stands for Portable Oxygen Generators. An oxygen concentrator is a medical or industrial device that concentrates the oxygen from either ambient air or another gas supply. Oxygen concentrators selectively remove nitrogen and other gases from the air to provide an oxygen-enriched stream. The On Site POGS 33C model is designed for use in hospital centers and combat support hospitals. It is an FDA-approved Class II medical device that can provide direct oxygen to a patient or to a cylinder filling station.

The On Site POGS 33C oxygen concentrator produces air with approximately 93 percent oxygen at a rate of up to 30 liters per minute. The machine includes an oxygen analyzer and a dew point monitor. The oxygen demand from the On Site POGS 33C system should remain at or below 33 liters per minute. If the user over-demands the system, it will drop the output oxygen purity and sound an audible alarm.

The On Site POGS 33C model includes an air compressor (NIIN 01-565-6581), a concentrator (NIIN 01-565-6582), a booster compressor (NIIN 01-670-7384), and an accessory case. The On Site POGS 33 oxygen concentrator includes the model number “POGS 33C” printed in capital letters in the upper right-hand corner of its front face. The machine includes mainly beige or brown metal housing.
