Background
The Nutri Ninja Nutri Bowl Duo was first released in 2015 by Shark Ninja. The Ninja Blenders are marketed as an inexpensive, (our model is $140 on Amazon) but high quality competitor for Vitamix (up to $600). This model has been functionally replaced by the Ninja Intelli-Sense Kitchen System. You will no longer find it available on the Shark Ninja web site. However, if you type the model number into their Replacement Parts and Accessories page, there are a variety of replacement parts and accessories available. The blades and plastic components of this Nutri Ninja are reported to frequently wear out or crack, so we have included the link.
A feature of the Nutri Ninja Pro Nutri Bowl (Duo NN100) is a 1200 Watt motor with a digital function called IQ Boost which allows even chopping to liquefaction. It is reported in reviews to be extremely noisy. Another observation is that the motor will not turn on occasionally because of overheating.
Identification
This, and the identical NN100A (only observable difference is the packaging kit) model are the only Ninjas that include the signature “bowl” feature as seen in our photo above. Also notable is that the motor base of the device is cylindrical, while many powerful ninja bases can be cube-like. It also has no knobs or dials, only flat buttons. To identify the model number beyond question, look on the bottom of the motor base.
