Background

The Nokia 7.1 Android smartphone was released by HMD Global, a Finnish mobile phone company, under the Nokia brand. The 7.1 was released in October 2018 and is an upgraded version of the Nokia 7. The Nokia 7.1 includes models TA-1100, TA-1097, TA-1085, TA-1095, TA-1096.

The Nokia 7.1 features a scratch-resistant 5.84-inch display with a resolution of 1080 by 2280 pixels. Depending on the model, the 7.1 includes either Single SIM (Nano-SIM) capabilities or Hybrid Dual SIM capabilities, meaning the phone can contain two Nano-SIM cards and use one while the other is in standby. The Nokia 7.1 was released with 32 GB of internal storage and 3 GB of RAM or 64 GB of internal storage and 4 GB of RAM. The phone features a dual main camera with a 12-megapixel dual-pixel lens and a 5-megapixel depth lens. It also includes an 8-megapixel front-facing camera. The 7.1 includes a non-removable 3060 mAh battery, meaning the battery’s adhesive is permanent, making repair and replacement difficult, but not necessarily impossible.

Identification

The Nokia 7.1 includes the name “Nokia” printed in capital letters vertically in the center of the phone’s backing. The 7.1’s dual main cameras are positioned vertically to each other in line with the “Nokia” name. The phone’s fingerprint scanner is located between the “Nokia” name and the main cameras on the rear of the phone. The words “AndroidOne” are printed in lowercase letters towards the bottom of the phone, indicating that the Nokia 7.1 runs on an Android operating system. The model number is generally included underneath the “AndroidOne” at the bottom of the phone’s back case.
