Background
The Nikon 1 V1 is a Nikon 1 series high-speed mirror less interchangeable-lens camera launched by Nikon on 21 September 2011. As of April 14, 2015, this camera is still available for sale through Nikon in a variety of colors.
The Nikon 1-mount is a type of interchangeable lens mount developed by Nikon for its Nikon CX format mirror less interchangeable-lens cameras. The 1-mount was first introduced on the Nikon 1 series in 2011, and features a bayonet mount.
In August 2012, Nikon released firmware version 1.20 for the V1 and J1, which among other small changes, claims to improve the cameras' program lines in some exposure modes, to reduce the risk of blurred images due to slow shutter speeds.
