Background and Information
Announced on November 10th, 2016, the Nikon D5600 is an F-mount DSLR camera. It succeeds the D5500 as an upper-entry level APS-C sensor DLSR. From the D5500 to the D5600, there are only a few changes. These include the addition of Bluetooth and NFC connectivity, an increased battery life, and a lighter design. Moreover, the D5600 comes with the SnapBridge application, which allows photos to be synced from the camera to a smartphone wirelessly. Also, the SnapBridge application can control the camera remotely (see live view remotely and take pictures) and enables automated updating of the camera’s clock and GPS.
Notable specifications of the Nikon D5600 include its 24MP CMOS sensor, Nikon DX format, 5 fps continuous shooting, 100-25,600 ISO, and Full HD video recording.
Overall, the D5600 was received positively and even received the Best DSLR Entry Level award at the TIPA Awards in 2017.
