The Mionix Naos 5000 is an optical gaming mouse by Mionix. Mionix is a Swedish designer and developer of high-end computer peripherals made for gamers. The Naos 5000 is Mionix’s flagship mouse with a 5040 dpi gaming laser sensor that can track movement on various surfaces. It was released in August 2010.

The Mionix Naos 5000 was named after the star Naos, which is a blue supergiant and one of the brightest stars in the Milkyway Galaxy. The mouse features a weight tuning system designed for the optimal weight distribution of the mouse. The Mionix Naos 5000 includes a USB interface and uses a laser to track movement. Its USB cable allows the user to plug the mouse into any computer that is USB-compatible. The mouse includes seven total buttons. This model allows in-game profile switching and an adjustable polling rate.

The Mionix Naos 5000 features a black body with an ergonomic shape. It features a rubber coating for increased grip. The Mionix emblem is placed on the front face of the device and is backlit by an LED. The LED lights integrated into the mouse are customizable. A scroll wheel and up/down buttons are placed in the center of the mouse’s front face.
