Background

The Milwaukee Impact Wrench 2767-20 is a cordless impact wrench designed for heavy-duty fastening and tightening tasks. It was released in 2017 by Milwaukee Tool as part of their Gen 2 and features a brushless motor that delivers up to 1,000 ft-lbs of fastening torque and 1400 ft-lbs of breakaway torque. The tool sports a red and black color scheme and was designed with an all-metal transmission.

Between June-October 2022, Milwaukee sold a mechanical redesign of the 2767-20 impact wrench. However, this redesign was riddled with design flaws and gave many users issues. Milwaukee eventually discontinued the production of this version and gave users who were experiencing issues the option of exchanging their tool in for a replacement through their eService portal (http://bit.ly/2cwwBwJ). Those who purchased products with the “H96B” serial code were given replacements with “H96A” serial code.
