Milwaukee Caulking Gun 2640-20 (2011)

The Milwaukee caulk gun is manufactured by Milwaukee M18 Tools from Milwaukee Tools. The M18 series is an upgraded version of the M12 series, focusing on technology and compact design. Milwaukee's 2640-20 model came out in 2011.

This device distributes building sealants and caulks with 950 pounds of pushing force, making the process efficient and quick. The gun also uses a REDLITHIUM™ battery which is essentially a smart battery. This battery is fit with electronic systems and temperature resistance that will enhance its life and power. Compared to other batteries that are used for power tools, REDLITHIUM™ batteries have 40 percent more runtime, 20 percent more speed, 20 percent more torque, and fade-free power. The gun can dispense up to 150 10 oz tubes of sealant on one charge. The intended user for this device can be anyone who needs to distribute sealants and caulks.

The gun is a bit heavy, according to customer reviews, once the battery and tube were applied. Other customer reviews mentioned that the gun is not equipped with an onboard cutter and the gun had difficulty fitting bulk caulk and sausage packs. Though these were inconveniences, the majority of reviews complimented the caulk gun's efficiency and convenience.
